現(xiàn)任中國科學(xué)院上海有機化學(xué)研究所生命有機國家重點實驗室主任、課題組長。
具有重要生理活性的復(fù)雜寡糖、糖綴合物及其它天然產(chǎn)物,如:動物糖胺聚糖(如肝素)和特征腫瘤抗原、微生物抗生素、植物和海洋糖苷(如皂甙和黃酮甙)等的全合成、合成方法學(xué)和化學(xué)生物學(xué)。其它研究內(nèi)容還涉及:中藥;天然產(chǎn)物的分離鑒定;糖基轉(zhuǎn)移酶和糖苷水解酶抑制劑;兼親分子的超分子化學(xué)等。
